🚩 IMPORTANT: Parking on the sidewalk is prohibited.
In Hamburg, e-mopeds must be parked like cars.
Where you can park
On all public street parking spots in Hamburg, including paid parking zones. You never need to get a parking ticket.
Where you can't park
Private or privately managed areas are off-limits, e.g. supermarket parking lots or parking garages. Also, never park:
- 🚩 in front of driveways, fire lanes, or emergency exits
- 🚩 in no-stopping or no-parking zones
- 🚩 in parks, pedestrian zones, or courtyards
- 🚩 on bike lanes or tactile paving for the visually impaired
- 🚩 within 5 meters of intersections
- 🚩 on hvv switch points
How to park right
💚 Park your emmy in a space-saving way, ideally so that no one is obstructed: not pedestrians, cyclists, or other road users. If a spot doesn't work, take a moment to find another one.
Heads up: We forward parking tickets to the person responsible (plus a handling fee). Please spare yourself (and us) the hassle. 🙏 Honestly, we're not fans of that either.
Here are some examples of how you can best park:
|
parking in a parking bay |
parking forward |
park in reverse |
And here are some examples of how you should definitely not park:
|
in parks |
|
in front of a fire brigade entry |
|
on a car-sharing spot |
on a bike-sharing spot |
across the sidewalk |
|
supermarket parking space |
at a supermarket bike space |
in a parking garage |
|
on a bus stop |
in front of a bus stop |
on a bicycle lane |
